PURE IDYLL - A FARM AS IT SHOULD BE
The Bärenbrunnerhof farm lies at the very end – from here on, you can only continue on foot. But we'll stay for now and slow down, amidst the playground, sheep pasture, chickens, and snoring pigs.

When we show children books about farms, we often focus on animal welfare. Here at Bärenbrunnerhof, that's still a reality.
Ever heard a pig snore?
When we arrive, the pigs are lying in the hay, snoring peacefully. The sheep are grazing in a lush pasture, and the chickens are clucking around the mobile chicken coop, where they can run freely in and out.
Relaxed farm with a great inn
For us, this is where relaxation begins – the organic farm's restaurant offers a fine selection of drinks and food, including meat from the farm, as well as vegetarian and vegan options. The playground in front of the farm features a climbing wall, a seesaw, a large sandpit with toys, and swings. The food is freshly prepared, so please be prepared to wait a little while.
A few rules for handling the animals
Please do not bother the animals, do not feed them, and keep dogs on a leash. The organic farm welcomes you to observe the animals – in return, they look forward to your visit. Fresh eggs are also available for purchase at the egg stand.
Pony rides by prior arrangement
The owner of the two ponies also offers pony rides – by prior arrangement via email or telephone. Adults lead the ponies; you should bring your own helmets and inquire at least two days in advance.
Hikes starting from the Bärenbrunnerhof
The organic farm is the perfect starting point for a climbing tour (if you already have rock climbing experience) or for hiking. The following routes are recommended for families with children:
- Wanderheim Dicke Eiche : stroller-friendly hike, approximately 2 km each way (also staffed, but please check opening times) or
- Wasgauhütte Schwanheim (also managed and with a small playground), about 1.7 km each way, not suitable for strollers.
Overnight stay at Bärenbrunnerhof
