THE PERFECT ALL-ROUNDER FOR ANY WEATHER AND ANY AGE

The aurochs tour is particularly versatile and therefore suitable for all weather conditions and all ages.
FACTS
Price: free
Weather: dry weather, sunshine
Age: Suitable for all age groups
Location: St. Martin
A well-marked, 4km long hiking trail leads around the enclosure of the wild cattle. However, you don't necessarily have to walk it.
Even in bad weather, you can still manage the short distance from the parking lot to the Palatinate Forest Association's forest hut "Haus an den Fichten" for a break, and when it's dry you can either use the great playground on-site or be right at the edge of the wildlife enclosure.
In good weather, there are even more options: admire the aurochs, have a picnic in the surrounding meadows, and in doing so, automatically discover the barefoot path – let's call it an "adventure trail" – at the Sandwiesenweiher pond. Anyone fancy a walk across a suspension bridge? Another place to stop for refreshments is the St. Martin barbecue hut – parking is available there, and there's also a playground.
The path between the parking lot, the house by the fir trees, the barefoot path, and the St. Martin barbecue hut is accessible with a stroller or bicycle trailer. A small detour around the Sandwiesenweiher pond is necessary for this.
Those who would like to learn more about the aurochs can read the information panels or book a guided hike through the St. Martin tourist information office. Have fun!
