TRY IT OUT, TOUCH IT, UNDERSTAND IT

Aren't my children too young to understand physics experiments? Is the visit even worthwhile then?

FACTS

Price: €26 for a family ticket with one child over 4 years old

Weather: all weather

Age: 3 years and up

Location: Pirmasens

It's worth it! And that goes for even younger children. Because the fascination with experiments and enthusiasm for natural sciences can never be ignited too early.

Try everything, touch everything

And the DYNAMIKUM is absolutely perfect for sparking this enthusiasm: You can touch EVERYTHING – you can try EVERYTHING, and we were absolutely amazed. We all had so much fun that we were still talking about all the experiments when we went to sleep.

Be fascinated by 160 interactive stations

I can therefore wholeheartedly recommend the DYNAMIKUM for children aged 3 and up. Even if they don't yet understand the scientific principles, it's still fascinating when a small domino finally makes the big one fall, or when you can pull Mom up "all by yourself" thanks to a long lever.

I can't even say what fascinated us the most. But all the experiments showed a great attention to detail and a genuine desire to give children (and adults) the opportunity to simply try things out for themselves! Partner swings, 360-degree cameras and the dynamics of jumping, slides with different inclines, or the rotating house – these are just some of our highlights!

The facts behind it - explained simply

Explanatory panels next to the experiments help older children understand the connections and the reasons behind them. And of course, the museum isn't just for toddlers. It gets more exciting and more engaging with each passing year. And, um...yes, the big kid in me probably had a lot of fun too!

Discovery fun on 2 floors

The DYNAMIKUM in Pirmasens has two floors where you can try things out and experience them to your heart's content. Different themed areas alternate, and on the second floor you'll find a small café with drinks, ice cream, and snacks to keep you going.

Picnic in the Strecktalpark next door

You should plan about 3-4 hours for your visit. Younger children will probably tire sooner – you can take the opportunity to have a break in the adjacent Strecktalpark. You could also plan a picnic there, as the cafeteria only offers very small snacks.

You can park directly in the parking garage next door. Parking here is subject to a fee. However, since the Dynamikum is very centrally located and the parking garage has reasonable prices, it's worth it.

I hope you all have lots of fun exploring and moving around!
