Location: Vogelwoog, Kaiserslautern

The Vogelwoog in Kaiserslautern is a natural pond, on whose idyllic grounds lies the art café.

Right next door is the "Fox Den" forest playground, which will delight little explorers. It features a slide, caves, swings, seesaws, and of course, plenty of nature. While the kids are playing here, you can relax with a wonderful view of the water.

Parking lot and start of the "Fox Trail" forest adventure path

You park at the Vogelwoog parking lot and walk about 250 meters along the gated asphalt path to Vogelwoog. There you'll see the small café by the water. The forest adventure trail starts somewhat hidden behind it and is marked with a fox sculpture and a white fox symbol.

The forest path, which is about 3.5 km long and mostly flat, begins there. Follow the path first under the motorway underpass and then straight ahead until the white fox marker points the way to the right.

The entire route is poorly signposted - I've marked it for you on Outdooractive , so you can easily follow the tour.

Stroller-friendly circular route

The path is suitable for strollers and can also be easily navigated with a balance bike or bicycle. Various stations await you along the way – from a pinecone sorting station to a long jump station, and the barefoot path is also worth mentioning. It's somewhat hidden by the autumn leaves, of course, but usable in every season. You can leave your shoes and socks in the shoe rack. The wide path lets you experience different surfaces.

The tour ends once again at the "Fuchsbau" forest playground - where you can relax and enjoy the end of the tour.

Break at the Vogelwoog in the art café

Latte macchiato, homemade cakes, and a lake view – treat yourself to a relaxing break overlooking the playground or the lake. The sunny spots in the front row usually fill up quickly, but there are benches around the house available for you to set up.

For those who found the tour too short, a walk around the Vogelwoog pond is a great option. Nutria, swans, ducks, and herons can be easily observed.
