So many highlights
The Prehistoric Museum takes you on a journey back in time to the very beginning of Earth's existence. The exhibition begins with an impressive 3D film about the Big Bang and the universe, and how long it took for life to emerge.
Realistic prehistoric spaces
In realistic prehistoric rooms, you'll experience the different time periods in a very realistic way. These alternate with exhibition areas where you and your children can explore the details. You can look through microscopes, marvel at dinosaur skeletons, and much, much more.
Recommended for ages 6 and up
There are good reasons why the museum is only recommended for children aged 6 and up: Moving dinosaur figures, darkness, sound, wind, and water effects make the rooms extremely frightening, and you probably won't have any fun with a frightened child. You might even prevent future visits. So, only go from around age 6 onwards, and then you can truly enjoy it.
The museum also features a 4D cinema, a dinosaur show, and a second exhibition area about the origins of man and historical eras.
You should plan for at least 2-3 hours.
You can spend the whole day at the museum; you can also go to the restaurant and then back to the museum. Or you can go to the cinema screenings several times – we thought that was really great.
The restaurant offers a small menu at fair prices and a pleasant dining area. In summer you can also sit outside.
