FAMILY-FRIENDLY TOUR FROM THE "Hahnstenschritt" CAR PARK

ree

At the finish line, a giant slide awaits the children and a cool refreshment for the adults - until then, we walk for about 45 minutes along a leisurely hiking trail with magnificent viewpoints.

FACTS

Price: free

Weather: dry weather, sunshine

Age: suitable for all age groups

Location: Neustadt, starting at the Hahnenschritt parking lot

The tour starts at the Hahnenschritt parking lot.

We start at the "Hahnenschritt" hiking parking lot – you'll find detailed directions below. At the beginning of the trail, we immediately follow the signs to the left for "Fahrweg zum Hohe Loog Haus" – a wide hiking trail that's also easily manageable for strollers or bike trailers. You can expect an impressive view over the Palatinate Forest. Continue straight ahead until you reach a fork in the path. Important: Here, we again stay on the far left of the track!

Stop for refreshments at the Hohe Loog Haus

At 620 meters above sea level, we reach the managed hut of the Palatinate Forest Association, which offers numerous seats both inside and out. A huge playground awaits children, featuring a natural adventure area, a giant slide, a trampoline, climbing frames, and swings. Even toddlers have their own swing set.

With or without a stroller?

Once we reach the top, we can now enjoy the view of the Rhine plain.

Those hiking without a stroller can also take the more direct route. This is signposted from the "Hahnenschritt" parking lot and goes directly into the forest to the right of the road.
