With the family tour "The Secret of the Mine Treasure", the team of the mining adventure world takes you into the old tunnels of the "Maria" mine.

Family tour

Rumor has it that a treasure is hidden in the mine, left behind by thieves during their escape. Using a treasure map, families are guided into the tunnels of the Imsbach mine during the guided tour.

The tunnel is not large and not much iron was mined here, but it's just right for children: The tour takes about 60 minutes, the tunnel is quickly reached and you can get out again quickly if the children get scared.

The Maria Mine can be visited as part of a guided tour. The two mine guards have found a treasure map that leads us through the tunnel. At each station, they vividly explain how work was done here, who lives here from November to March, and the kids even get to try their hand at using a hammer and pick. Adults also learn a lot.

The highlight: The treasure chest - each child received a small thank you gift for helping with the treasure hunt.

Park

You park in the large hiking parking lot, about 500 meters before the mine. From there, it's a wide forest path to the mine. You can take a stroller as far as the mine hut; after that, you can only continue on foot.

Tickets are also paid for in the mine hut - cash only.
