Chicks hatching at Easter

Watching chicks hatch and grow fascinates young and old alike. The fluffy chicks are hatched in an incubator and then move with their peers to a large house equipped with a heat lamp and sand bath. The special "Chicks" exhibition can be found at the Pfalzmuseum Bad Dürkheim until April 23rd. Those wishing to observe the chicks' daily growth can purchase a special season ticket for the duration of the exhibition.

Feel, Play, Discover

The Palatinate Museum offers exciting museum experiences with several interactive exhibits. Children can make the Earth and moon orbit the sun, discover local wildlife, feel animal fur, find grasshoppers, marvel at the size of a polar bear, look a wolf in the eye, or admire the sparkling minerals in the gemstone tunnel.

The museum also offers a scavenger hunt with Actionbound for a digitally supported experience. However, this isn't necessary for your first visit. Many exciting games and hands-on activities provide plenty of variety. Microscopes are also available for examining feathers, eggshells, and many other materials in detail.

Changing facilities available

Modern restrooms and a baby changing station are available. Depending on the number of visitors, you may not be able to access all exhibition areas with a stroller.

Free parking

From the designated parking area, it's about a 3-minute walk to the museum.
