ADVENTURE PLAYGROUND AT THE BEACH

Not just a great tip for hot days! The playground at the Sollachsee bathing lake in Germersheim is idyllically situated in a park.

FACTS

Price: free

Weather: dry weather

Age: any age

Location: Germersheim, Sollachsee

Splashing, climbing, sliding – a modern, beautiful playground awaits you at Sollachsee in Germersheim. It's located right next to the Sollachsee quarry lake. But be careful – swimming is allowed, but the lake isn't supervised, and the beach is quite messy from the large flock of geese.

Those who only want to come for swimming should instead head to the surrounding quarry lakes such as Binsfeld, Jockgrim, or Lingenfeld. Anyone looking for a really great playground will find one here.

You can find all of this at the playground by Lake Sollachsee.

From the climbing island, which is wonderfully shaded, to the zip line and the dirt park, there's something for all age groups here.

The water playground has a pump that's switched off in winter, but otherwise provides plenty of water fun. Kids can dig and build in the sand on different levels. The large slide tower is a definite highlight, especially when they go down the tube. You'll also find a double swing and an in-ground trampoline.

Dirt park right next to the playground

Behind the play area, in the shade, lies a slightly larger dirt park for the older kids, although beginners can also do their laps here when it's not busy.

Disc golf course - have you tried it?

The entire park at Lake Sollach is designed as a disc golf course. For those unfamiliar with the sport: disc golf is a sport where the aim is to reach the baskets with special throwing discs in as few throws as possible. You'll need to bring your own discs (we call them Frisbees). Why not give it a try?

Parking lot at Lake Sollachsee

The playground is only 300 meters from the parking lot. You can find directions below. There are also restrooms, but unfortunately, there's no kiosk or food service nearby. However, you are allowed to barbecue in designated areas. A diverse crowd uses the facilities on weekends, but it's usually quiet during the week.
