Schlicht – a must! With a great kiosk, sandy and grassy beach, and a DLRG (German Life Saving Association) station, it's certainly one of the most beautiful and popular bathing lakes in the Palatinate. Wheelchair users can also access the water via a ramp.
Binsfeld: The group of lakes at Binsfeld is one of the most popular swimming lakes in the area. The sandy beach is cleaned regularly. Parking is subject to a fee, the walk to the beach is quite long, yet the lake is very popular.
Blue Adriatic, Altrip: Great for children because the sandy areas are very large and there are also some shady spots available.
Niederwiesenweiher Böhl-Iggelheim: A small section of beach at Niederwiesenweiher is suitable for swimming. Parking is subject to a fee and the beach is not supervised.
Helmbachweiher: A cold pleasure – yet swimming is permitted in the Helmbachweiher. However, this is only a pleasure for very hot days.
Kollerinsel: A wide, fine sandy beach and a SUP rental service ensure plenty of activity here during the summer months. Parking is also subject to a fee.
Jockgrim gravel pit lake: In the Johanneswiesen recreation area, there is a well-maintained, gently sloping bathing area during the swimming season, partially supervised by the German Lifesaving Association (DLRG). There is an entrance fee for the bathing lake, and it is only open during designated hours.
Rülzheim Beach: Especially suitable for children, as both water quality and swimming are monitored. Plenty of shady spots and good facilities including restrooms, a snack bar, and a separate shallow water area with a water slide make this beach a great summer destination. Stand-up paddleboarding (SUP) is not permitted.
