A short walk from Fleckenstein Castle, you'll find the free castle-themed playground at Gimbelhof. Of course, you can also drive there directly.

The Gimbelhof playground is signposted as a footpath from Fleckenstein Castle and is suitable for strollers. It takes about 30 minutes to reach the playground. Alternatively, you can also drive to the Gimbelhof (it's located on Waldstraße towards Nothweiler), although this route is longer.
Castle playground
The castle playground is a fantastic addition to your adventure day. Imaginatively designed and featuring a wide variety of play elements, it allows children to directly apply what they've learned in the castle to their imaginative play. Stone knights and bards surround the playground, which is pleasantly shaded and suitable for all ages.

Located next to the castle playground, the Gimbelhof offers not only overnight rooms but also a spacious restaurant with indoor and outdoor seating.
Parking / Your start to the adventure
Your destination is right on the border, but on the French side – you should be aware of this when planning your arrival. You can either park in a large parking lot below the castle (approx. 300m forest path to the castle, not suitable for strollers) or you can park at Gimbelhof and start your castle adventure from there (approx. 1 kilometer walk).
